Supplier Questions Worth Asking
- Can you supply the CoA for the specific batch I will receive, before I order?
- Which laboratory performed the analysis, and is independent testing available?
- What is the documented concentration, and how was it assayed?
- How is the shipment temperature-controlled, and how long is it in transit?
- What is your handling if material arrives warm or with a broken seal?
A supplier who answers these plainly is not necessarily good. A supplier who deflects them is answering the question anyway.
Price as a Signal
Unusually cheap material is not automatically counterfeit, but analytical testing, cold-chain logistics and batch documentation all cost money. A price substantially below the market is being funded by not doing one of those things. It is worth establishing which.
Where the Grey Market Sits
Material sold through informal channels — social media sellers, marketplace listings under euphemistic descriptions — typically carries no batch documentation at all, and no recourse if it is wrong. That is a different transaction from buying documented research material, whatever the label says.
